Why Profhilo Is Reguired ?

Profhilo is a truly universal treatment, suitable for patients in their late 20s and older. So there are two distinct categories for Profhilo patients. Specifically:

How Is Profhilo Done? (Procedures)
Unlike Dermal Fillers, Profhilo does not add volume, think of it more as a huge boost of hydration from within. This injectable treatment has a very high concentration of HA which is injected into the skin through five different key points on each side of the face. A unique aesthetic treatment, Profhilo works in stages which requires two treatments with a four-week interval. You will see results instantly after the second treatment. Profhilo remains in the skin for around 28 days after, working hard to stimulate four different types of collagen and elastin as it slowly releases hyaluronic acid. Within the first few weeks you will see intense hydration, smoother and tighter skin and a glowing complexion.
Preparation & Recovery
Please don’t drink any alcohol during the 24 hours before your treatment. We also advise that you avoid using aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs a couple of days before your treatment (unless they are taken for a chronic medical condition). Avoiding these medications will reduce your risk of bruising at the point of injection. Ask your medical practitioner if you have any concerns.
Side Effects and Aftercare
No recovery time is required and you can return to your daily activities immediately .
-Use a cold pack to reduce swelling and / or redness
– Do not massage or manipulate the treated area
– Avoid any further cosmetic procedures for 2 days after treatment
– Avoid wearing make-up for 12 hours post- treatment
– Avoid extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for a minimum of 7 days after treatment (no saunas, steam rooms, sun beds or sun exposure)
– Apply a SPF30+ sunscreen
– Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
– Avoid swimming for 48 hours
– Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment
– Stay hydrated
Risks & Complication
As with any injectable treatment there are minor risks, including bruising and swelling, as well as infection, allergic reaction, vascular compromise and nerve damage; although IBSA (the pharmacy that makes Profhilo) claims these are rare.
There is a risk of bumps/lumps at the entry points and bruising as well but the probability of this is very low, most people leave the surgery without the slightest sign of having just had a needle go into their face 10 times.
