Botox

Description  ( Overview)

BOTOX is a popular cosmetic procedure that helps to smooth out non-set wrinkles on the face and forehead. Specifically, it works to eliminate the appearance of smile lines and frown lines around the perimeter of the mouth and eyes. These tiny crow’s feet become apparent in strong light because of the shadows they produce.

Unlike surgical procedures and skin resurfacing techniques, BOTOX is an injectable that affects nerve endings. This is not a filler treatment, but rather a muscle-relaxing procedure. When the muscles are relaxed, wrinkles are much less noticeable.

If you are wondering whether or not you are an ideal candidate for this treatment, let us help you. We offer complete consultation services for those individuals who are concerned about the age-related appearance of wrinkles and folds on the face and forehead.

Why    Botox   Is  Reguired ?

Botox-type injectables can help an adult patient of any age improve his or her appearance, not only imparting a more youthful look, but also alleviating an overly concerned look, helping you look better refreshed or even more pleasant.

In addition to its quick treatment time, BOTOX Cosmetic has little to no downtime, and results can typically be seen in just a few days. The most commonly treated areas are those where muscle activity influences facial features, such as the following:

  • Glabellar lines (a.k.a. “elevens” or frown lines)
  • Wrinkles around the eyes, such as crow’s feet
  • Forehead creases
  • Corners of the mouth
  • A “cobblestoned” appearance to the chin

Why  Iran Is Suitable For   Botox  ?

Iran is a cost-effective choice to get any cosmetic procedure, be it a minor one like Botox injection or a major one. This decision can even make more sense as you are selecting a country where thousands of experienced doctors and specialists are available.

Different brands of botulinum toxin are available in Iran. Dysport and Neuronox are the best and most effective brands of this substance, the former being made in the UK and the latter in South Korea. Although they are more expensive than other brands of botulinum toxin, their quality is very high and they last longer.

Patient Eligibility \ Who Can Have?

Good candidates for BOTOX treatment include mature adults whose skin is healthy but beginning to show thin smile lines. These are especially common in areas where muscles regularly affect the tightness of the skin. Near the corners of the mouth, on the sides of the eyes, above the bridge nose, and on the center of the forehead, these lines are generally prominent when the individual widens or narrows the eyes, purses the lips, or raises the cheeks.

If this sounds like you, you’re in luck! You don’t have to consider surgical skin ablation or repositioning, and you will likely not be required to have skin resurfacing or peel treatments performed in order to improve your appearance. Instead, BOTOX injections may do the job quite well.

ideal candidates for this injectable are 18 years of age or older, in good overall health, are not pregnant , and have realistic expectations in regard to the results of the procedure.

How Is   Botox  Done ? (Procedures)

BOTOX blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract (tighten) as forcefully, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften.

BOTOX can be used on the forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines (lines in the nose), chin (for dimpling), skin bands on the neck, and around the mouth (for smoker’s lines and down-turned corners of the mouth). Wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity often will not respond to BOTOX. It is important to re-emphasize that BOTOX is NOT a facial filler (that is, it does not fill existing wrinkles) – it merely relaxes the muscles that are creating those wrinkles.

As mentioned above, Botox is used to treat dynamic wrinkles that result from repeated facial muscle contraction that typically occurs when we laugh, smile, frown or grimace.

Although the treated muscles start to relax after a few days, it can take up to two weeks to see the full effects of the Botox treatment. There is, however, no “down time” with a Botox treatment and you can return to work right away if you wish, although it’s not recommended to engage in strenuous activity for the rest of the day after treatment.

Redness and swelling of the treatment area may occasionally occur following your injections. These side effects typically clear up within the first 30 minutes of treatment. You should avoid touching the area of the affected skin for about an hour after treatment to prevent the Botox from spreading. Rarely, there may be some temporary muscle weakness surrounding the treatment area.

Preparation & Recovery

Patients generally return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure, however following the post-procedure guidelines will dramatically reduce the length and intensity of the recovery period. Patients should avoid engaging in heavy physical exercise, applying cosmetics, or laying down flat for a minimum of 4 hours after the injections. It is also advisable to avoid rubbing or massaging the injected area for at least 24 hours.

Normally, Botox injections begin working within a few days of an injection. They tend to have only a localized, not systemic or whole body effect.

‏Botox toxins are thought to remain active in the body or target area for 4 to 6 months before being metabolized and excreted from the body.

Other Options

Botox injections are noted primarily for the ability to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. They’re also used to treat conditions such as neck spasms (cervical dystonia), excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), an overactive bladder and lazy eye. Botox injections may also help prevent chronic migraines. Botox toxins may also be injected directly into overactive muscles or glands to limit their activity, such as the sweat glands under the armpits, neck muscles, or hand muscles.

Risks & Complication

Botox injections are relatively safe when performed by an experienced doctor. Possible side effects and complications include:

   – Pain, swelling or bruising at the injection site

   – Headache or flu-like symptoms

    -Droopy eyelid or cockeyed eyebrows

    -Crooked smile or drooling

Many practitioners offer a free follow-up after your initial round of injections to make sure the results are as close to your expectations as possible.

FAQ

What Is Botox and Dysport?

Botox and Dysport are therapeutic muscle-relaxing agents derived from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. The substance is injected into the face to alleviate signs of stress and aging such as facial wrinkles and frown lines. Botox was originally used as a treatment for patients with eye-lid spasms. Doctors found that the wrinkles around the eye also improved and Botox went on to have many uses for treatment in the face in the aesthetic medicine industry.

How Does Botox or Dysport Work?

Botox and Dysport are very safe in that the substance doesn’t directly affect nerves or muscles. Instead, it works by blocking the nerve impulses from the brain relaxing muscle activity. Worry lines and wrinkles smooth and soften, giving the face a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance. Both substances are ideal for treating lips, forehead, around eyes, chin and the large chewing muscles (masseter muscle). But they also have more therapeutic uses such as improvement of headaches in patients with a discreet trigger point, or Bruxism (grinding of the jaws).

How Long Does Botox or Dysport Last?

The effects of Botox and Dysport usually last 4 to 6 months, but following several treatments, there may be an accumulative effect in some people with results lasting much longer, up to 8 to 10 months in some cases.
